IB Diploma Coordinator

Appointment of IB Diploma Coordinator for 2018 onwards   
We are a young dynamic school with a clear vision for the future. In our third year of operation and growing fast, this is an exciting time to be joining Tzu Chi Secondary School. We had 200 students in 2016, 400 students in 2017, and will increase to 600 plus next year. We offer the MYP and DP grounded in the IB learner profile and the Tzu Chi philosophy of education. We seek to develop the whole child, to promote both academic excellence as well as strong character values. Your role as the IB Diploma Coordinator is critical to the programmes success. You will be providing inspiration, strategy, experience and a collaborative approach for a diverse, enthusiastic and committed team new to the IB Diploma. This role has enormous potential to be personally and professionally rewarding, and we aim to support and assist you in making this happen. 

Requirements:
•   Be an experienced educator with a minimum of 5 years as a Diploma Coordinator 
•   Be aware of the latest educational theories
•   Understand how to prepare students for higher education and elsewhere
•   Be culturally aware, internationally minded and sensitive to our cultural context 
•   Be a qualified teacher and a graduate of a recognised university
•   Have a relevant post-graduate qualification
•   Be committed to holding the highest standards of learning for every student
•   Be an exceptional leader able to facilitate effective teams
•   Be open to new pedagogical approaches and the use of technology and digital media to facilitate learning
•   Be able to provide critical and constructive feedback that inspires and supports the improvement of practice
•   Have excellent organizational and analytical skills
•   Have excellent communication skills in English
•   Be meticulous in your attention to detail and accuracy
•   Have the ability to present effectively for a variety of audiences and purposes.

Requirements   :

    • Minimum of Tertiary Degree (Bachelor, Master or Doctoral), majoring in Education or in the subjects to be taught.
    • A Teaching Certification related to the subjects to be taught
    • Being equipped with teaching skills including: classroom management, course and lesson planning, subject knowledge, learning technologies and a familiarity with student centered learning approaches.
    • A high proficiency in the use of English Language fit to the delivery language of the curriculum.
    • An up to date knowledge and practice of teaching techniques and methodologies with a flexible and adaptable teaching style.
    • An experience in the Indonesian National Curriculum will be an advantage
    • Competence in using common Office programs ie. Microsoft word, excel and power point
    • Having a friendly and confident manner with creative skills and ideas for planning practical and interesting lessons
    • Sensitivity, tolerance and patience
    • The ability to work under pressure
    • A desire to actively participate in extra curricular activities, community programs, and other school activities.
    • Experience of teaching in International Baccalaureate® (IB) MYP/DP and familiarity with aspects of IBMYP/DP will be an advantage
